“Ayubowan” and ‘’Vanakkam’’ Welcome to tropical paradise. You will be welcomed and greeted by your guide or The Resfeber Holidays representative on arrival at the Waiting Area at Colombo International Airport. You will travel to Negombo by car. Travel time is approximately 45 minutes depending on the road traffic.

Rest of the day you can relax.

Day 2 – Negombo ✈ Wilpattu

Today you will travel from Negombo to Wilpattu. Travel time is approximately 3 ½ hours depending on the road traffic.

In the afternoon you will experience Wilpattu National Park. The largest and oldest National Park in Sri Lanka consisting of 140,000 hectares of mostly dry zone evergreen forest. This is one of best places to see fierce leopards in Sri Lanka alongside Yala National Park. The open grassy plains are set within the thick dense scrub jungle. The wetland includes around 48 shallow natural lakes known as Villus, natural basins that are filled with rainwater and two saltwater lakes. These natural lakes are the most important parts of the complex ecosystem in the park.

The park is home to elusive Leopards, wild Asian elephants, Sloth bears, Water Buffalos, Mugger Crocodiles, Spotted and Barking Deer, Wild Boar and Pythons. Alongside these wild animals you will be able to see many endemic birds including the Ceylon Jungle fowl, Brown-capped Babbler, Ceylon Wood shrike and Black-capped Bulbul in riverine habitats. Butterflies recorded include the Great Egg fly, Great Orange Tip, Glad-eye Bush brown, Blue Mormon, Common Mormon, Common Rose and Crimson Rose. You will see the wild animals, particularly elephants, near lakes early in the morning and late afternoons. The wildlife is abundant around lakes and coastal belts such as White Ibis, Open Bills, Painted Storks Spoonbills, Egrets, Whistling Teals, Kingfishers and you can also see the water buffalos, monitors and crocodiles.

Day 3 –Wilpattu ✈ Sigiriya

Today you will travel from Wilpattu to Sigiriya. Travel time is approximately 2 ½ hours depending on the road traffic.

In the afternoon you will experience the safari at Kaudulla National Park – This National Park is the most recent to be added to the list. Famous for its large herds of Asian elephants and bird population, the species includes the nation’s largest bird, the Lesser Adjutant and the Pompadour Green Pigeon. The park was Built around the year 300 AD, then Tank slowly fell into disrepair and was rebuilt in 1959, and with its variety of plant life, it has now become home to 24 species of mammals, 25 species of amphibians and countless variety of birds. The endangered Rusty Spotted Cat can be spotted in the park, as well as the elusive leopards and both Sambar and Axis Deer.

Early in the morning around 5:30 – 6am, Climbing to the top of Sigiriya rock on staircases to see sunrise with scenic views of jungles is quite challenging but an amazing experience.
The 8th wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Sigiriya, a massive rock in the green scrub jungle, is perhaps the most astonishing place for the visitors with unique views between human imagination and nature. The site was known from ancient times as a hermitage for Buddhist monks. A well-planned monastic complex included caved temples, bathing pools, lovely ponds, and Asia's oldest surviving landscape gardens. The "Lion stairway", the "mirror wall" and the "water gardens" are its other highlights. The ruins of the capital built by the parricidal King Kashyap I (477–95) lie on the steep slopes and at the summit of a granite peak standing some 370 m high (the 'Lion's Rock', which dominates the jungle from all sides).

In the afternoon enjoy the Ayurvedic massage. Ayurveda is derived from Sanskrit for life (Ayuh) and knowledge (Veda), means the science of life’. It is an ancient health care system in South Asia that has been passed down from father to son based on herbs and diet. It is one of the world’s oldest forms of healing and treatment. Ayurveda is a well-known treatment for stress, diabetes, migraine, asthma, arthritis, immune system, and high blood pressure.
As you enter the spa center, you can smell the organic oils infused with ayurvedic herbs and incense creams and hand – made scrubs along with a relaxing massage which balances the body, mind and spirit.

Today, you will travel from Sigiriya to Pasikuda. Travel time is approximately 2 ½ hours depending on the road traffic.

En – route, explore the ancient city with well-preserved ruins and archeological sites.
Polonnaruwa was the mediaeval capital and the second ancient kingdom of Sri Lanka. Today it is one of the most beautiful centers of Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage and UNESCO Heritage site. With its comparatively brief history and dozen rules, it is far more completely preserved ruin than Anuradhapura. Visit the ancient ruins and Gal Vihara complex, where 3 gigantic Buddha's statues are carved out of a single rock.

In the evening enjoy romantic candlelight dinner by the beach.

Today you will travel from Pasikudah to Kandy (Knuckles). Travel time is approximately 4 ½ hours depending on the road traffic.

Afterwards, you will visit The Temple of the Tooth & Buddhist Museum, Sri Dalada Maligawa dates back to the 16th century, though most of the present buildings were built in the 19th century. Venerated as the most important object in the Buddhist world, the Sacred Relic of the Tooth of Buddha is enshrined at the Temple. Brought from India 2500 years ago, it is said that the possessor of the Relic had the right to rule the country. The Relic is kept in a gold casket and stored amidst great security in the Inner Chamber.

The journey of an hour through the lush tea plantations with shades of dark and light rays of sun where trees stand tall in the midst of tea plants. Your eyes will be filled with greenery and heart filled with peace as you explore Hatale Mini world’s End.

Afterwards, Tea Estate Experience - Have one of the Factory’s experts enlighten you on the processes of tea manufacture before touring the lush green estate where you can also exchange pleasantries with the local tea plucking community. What’s more? You may indulge in the fine flavors of Ceylon Tea during a tea tasting session and opt to take home with you souvenirs and memories of a truly joyous moment from the Factory’s tea shop and café. The scenic views from the tea estates are breathtaking. (Duration 1 – 2 hours)

Today you will travel from Kandy to Kitulgala 3 hours depending on the road traffic.

Begin your adventure with the splashes of water as you paddle on the river with rapid ups and downs from serene surroundings for a moment to the chirping birds in the jungle rainforest. Experience white water rafting in the Kelaniya River from 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids with the rafting stretch approximately 6.5 kilometers in length, taking a range of one hour to complete, depending on the water levels. This is for anyone above the age of 12 with safety gear, modern rafts, and a comprehensive safety briefing provided. Or you can choose more relaxing Flat-water rafting.

Today you will travel from Kitulgala to Ella part by road part by train. Travel time is approximately 4 hours depending on the road traffic.

Today you will experience the most breath-taking train journey. You will travel from Hatton to Ella through tea plantations and rolling hills on a scenic train. This is one of the most scenic train journeys you can enjoy. Your guide will pick you up at Ella Station upon arrival and you will go to your hotel.

Hike up to Little Adam’s Peak; waking up early in the morning to astonish the breathtaking views of endless valleys, lush tea plantations and flowing waterfalls as sunrises. Little Adam’s Peak resembles the main Adam’s Peak near Hatton. By foot it takes about 35-40 minutes.

Afterwards you will visit the Nine Arch Bridge. This magnificent eye catchy Nine Arch Bridge between Ella and Demodara stations is just a few kilometers along the track from the Demodara station. Most touched attraction by the tourists and locals. This viaduct bridge built during the British Colonial period is the largest in Sri Lanka which has been built with blocks of stone and cement without any reinforcing iron or concrete. The tall arches take the bridge on a semicircular path to connect to mountains. Located almost 3100 feet above sea level, this 99.6ft high bridge is called "Ahas namaye palama" (Nine skies bridge) in Sinhala. When one stands underneath it and looks up there is a beautiful sight of 'nine skies' through the nine arches, hence the Sinhala name. This bridge is also called 'The Bridge in the sky' due to its sheer height.

In the morning you will experience the safari at Yala national park. Jeep Safari in Yala is one of the best national parks in Asia for spotting and photographing elusive and prowling leopards in the wild. The best times to spot these magnificent creatures roaming freely in the park are early in the morning and in the evening. Evaluators state that there are between 500 – 650 leopards living in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan Leopard is a recognized subspecies of the Indian Leopard and is the largest leopard living in Asia making this wildlife safari as one that is not easily forgotten.

Yala is home to 32 recorded species of mammals and is abundant with birds of migratory and non-migratory birds. Some of the mammals are sloth bears, Leopards, wild elephants, Water buffalos, Wild boars, spotted deer, Sambars, and Golden jackal. You will also be able to spot Mugger Crocodiles, Estuarine Crocodile and giant lizards that are left over after ages. There are 130 species of birds recorded at the park. The brilliant blue Peacocks can be found on every corner of Yala.

Afterwards, you will travel from Yala to Mirissa. Travel time is approximately 2½ hours depending on the road traffic.

In the evening you will discover the Dutch Fort in Galle. It is situated in the southern Sri Lanka. The Galle fort is a UNESCO world heritage site and the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers showing the interaction between European architectural styles and south Asian traditions. Other prominent landmarks in Galle include the natural harbor, the National Maritime Museum, St. Mary's Cathedral founded by Jesuit priests, one of the main Shiva temples on the island. Galle offers a unique opportunity to create a visible demonstration of the conservation of its inheritance. There are many boutique shops along the narrow streets of the fort as well as antiques, arts, and craft shops.
